Call Your Insurance!I just saved $540 - and it wasn’t with Geico. It only took a 5 minute call to my agent.

I hear the Geico commercials all the time “You can save a bundle on car insurance…” blah, blah blah. I’ve always been happy with my insurance company - my agent knows me well, and I know him. I’ve always been willing to pay a little extra for the personal touch - and it’s saved me a lot of grief in the past when I was in an accident that was no fault of my own. I had a caring agent that knew who I was, dealt with my tirade of questions, and covered my back.

A few weeks ago Geico gave me a quote on my insurance that was about half what I was paying at my current Insurance company - Farmers. I wondered what was up, but didn’t do anything until last week, when my coverage was renewed at Farmers, and my monthly premium went up another $5 a month.

That’s when I picked up the phone.

To my surprise, it took 5 minutes on the phone with my agent to get my premium cut in HALF! So here’s my commercial for Farmer’s Insurance - I just saved $540 this next year by calling my agent and asking for a break!

You might want to give it a try. Let me know how it goes.

I’ve been researching insurance companies lately for my home and auto. One thing I’d recommend is to know what you’re comparing. Make sure you are being quoted the same deductible and compare the policies as well. Some companies cover towing which includes roadside assistance for flat tires and locked keys, other plans include content replacement for your home, etc. The coverage varies for each plan so make sure you know what you are receiving and compare the rates based on actual coverage.
